CPBC Cracks Down On Anti-Social Behaviour

Cracking downA TENANT IN WRACKHALL COURT, Gafzelle Drive, Canvey Island, was evicted on April 22nd, just 14 months after moving into the property.

In that time the tenant — who cannot be named for legal reasons — made the lives of neighbours a misery with loud music, shouting, setting off fire alarms and extinguishers, and conducting sexual acts in public places.

The council worked with the police, to gather evidence and successfully remove the tenant.

Wendy Goodwin, Castle Point Borough Council cabinet member for homes, said: ‘We take the behaviour of our tenants very seriously, so, if a tenant is causing problems to neighbours, we will take action.’
