UKIP Candidate Forced To Quit After Internet Rant About The Queen

(Daily Mail) – A UKIP CANDIDATE has been forced to quit after launching an abusive racist tirade against the Queen.

Paul Wiffen, who was campaigning to become MP for Ilford South, was reported to have posted the vile comments on the social networking site Facebook.

Mr Wiffen referred to the Monarch as a ‘German bitch’ during a discussion about Nancy Reagan, widow of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

After making derogatory comments about Mrs Reagan, he said that the First Lady is the American equivalent of the Queen.

But he is then reported to have written: ‘If you want one so bad, you can have the German bitch who has just handed our sovereignty to Europe without a murmur!’

It is not the first time that Mr Wiffen has been caught making abusive comments.

Earlier in the month, he was reprimanded for ranting about ‘Muslim nutters’ and ‘Romanian gypsies who beat their wives and children’ on a social care website.

The latest scandal comes at an embarrassing time for the party which has just launched its election manifesto pushing to match its European support with support in Britain.

A spokesman for UKIP said: ‘The comments were completely unacceptable and do not reflect the attitude, values or policies of the party.

‘UKIP would like to apologise for any one offended by the content. Mr Wiffen has now resigned as a candidate.’

Mr Wiffen told the Standard: ‘I am standing aside in Ilford South so that UKIP’s three main messages of controlling our borders, repatriating lawmaking and saving the £45million a day we pay to the EU are not overshadowed by anything I may have said on late night internet sessions. I apologise for any offence I may have caused.’
